Our Impact
“What that prolonged period of contact meant was that in the final days of Mum’s life, we were comforted and supported by people that we felt we knew well and trusted implicitly. Their constant care in that last week was incredible, from each and every nurse, without exception. If I thought they were amazing before, in those final days they completely eclipsed my expectations.”

Celebrating Milestones
Sidmouth Hospice at Home marked some major milestones in 2025. Firstly, our specialist hospice service marked its 40th anniversary and secondly, our innovative ‘Sidmouth Integrated Model for Specialist Palliative Care’ reached its fifth year of operation.
To commemorate, Sidmouth Hospice at Home is proud to present Impact 40: our very first publication of this kind.
The vast majority of hospice services publish impact statements each year, and in Impact 40 – the first edition of our own – we aim to celebrate achievements and acknowledge the efforts, expertise and kindness of those many individuals across the years, that have shaped our charity to date.
It’s a deliberately detailed document, which aims to appeal to a wide audience. Whether you are a patient, loved one, healthcare counterpart, event attendee, fundraiser or corporate supporter, you will find Impact 40 full of relevant information and the all-important data which not only provides proof with regard to the viability and value of the ‘Sidmouth Model’, but also validates our need for the continued evolution of our services.
As a specialist hospice service charity, we are committed to our mission, to the community that we are so proud to serve, and to taking on the challenge of raising the milestone £1 million and more, needed each and every year to care for the Sid Valley at end of life. We remain a hospice service funded entirely by the community, for the community.
